Almost Done But Rushing Nowhere

A reader asked me what Gentle Giant and Spunky are up to these days and what their plans are for the future.  Here’s the scoop:

Both kids are finishing off their Grade 12 year of high school with way more credits than the average public schooler in our area completes.  I have taught them everything they need to know in order to be able to succeed at any higher education they pursue.  They will graduate from our homeschool in August 2014 at the ages of 17 and 16 respectively.

Next year, they will both work, hone any skills that need a little more honing (possibly writing), and explore their options for the future.  Gentle Giant is considering pursuing a career in Archaeology or Psychology (counseling).   He is also considering becoming a Private Investigator and then using his income to support himself while he pursues other interests.  He cannot enroll in any P.I. program until he is 18 years of age.  Spunky isn’t totally sure what she wants to do yet, so we have encouraged her to take some time to find that out.

As you can see, nothing is carved in stone at this time.  We will see where life takes our teens.  Have you graduated any teens from your homeschool?  What did they do after high school?
