A Manitoba man is currently battling his local public school to have his grandson held back a year.  The school refuses to do so, and experts agree with the school on the basis that failing students impairs their self-esteem.  Graduating students who cannot compete in the workforce does not seem to be so much of a concern… Read more here:

The New York Times publishes an op-ed against graphic sex education classes and in support of parental rights over children’s education:

The Swiss postal service is blocking the delivery of  pornographic materials intended for 4-year-old students as part of a “sex box” educational tool that includes play sex organs for the children:  No word on whether or not the teachers object to the use of this curriculum.
