There are about as many methods of homeschooling as there are homeschoolers. If we had to describe ourselves, we would say we are eclectic homeschoolers with a bent toward the classical and Charlotte Mason traditions. In our own homeschool, we tend to use self-teaching materials that require little parent supervision or instruction. This is both due to our lifestyle demands and because we feel that self-teaching materials encourage our children to develop their intellectual capacities to the fullest. We also tend to look for low-cost multi-age resources because we do not believe that a solid education need cost thousands of dollars to obtain.
